Privacy Policy

CommandCenter keeps setup data on your device by default.

This policy applies to Kousen.CommandCenter, the static homepage available at kousen.cc.

1. Information The App Handles

CommandCenter may handle information you enter or import, such as app names, app URLs, colors, logos, homepage settings, layout choices, weather widget locations, clock widget time zones, and similar setup data.

2. Local Storage

The app uses your browser's local storage to save per-device overrides, including your customized app cards, homepage settings, uploaded images, and layout preferences. This data stays in the browser profile on the device you are using unless you export it or clear it.

If you clear browser storage, switch browsers, use another device, or use private browsing, those local settings may not be available.

3. No Accounts or CommandCenter Backend

CommandCenter does not require user accounts and does not include its own backend database for storing your setup. kousen.cc does not receive, store, or manage your local CommandCenter settings through the app itself.

4. Import and Export Files

You may export or import CommandCenter setup JSON files. Those files remain under your control on your own device unless you choose to store, upload, or share them elsewhere.

5. Weather Widgets

If you configure a weather widget, the app may request forecast or geocoding data from Open-Meteo using the location information needed for that widget. Those requests are separate from CommandCenter's local storage behavior and are governed by Open-Meteo's own practices.

6. App Links and Third-Party Sites

CommandCenter is a launcher. When you open an app card, your browser leaves CommandCenter and visits the configured destination. The destination site or service may collect information according to its own privacy policy.

7. Hosting and Technical Logs

When kousen.cc is hosted publicly, the hosting provider may process standard technical request data needed to deliver the site, such as IP address, browser details, timestamps, requested paths, and basic server or CDN logs.

8. Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking

CommandCenter does not intentionally include advertising trackers, analytics dashboards, or behavioral profiling tools. Essential browser and hosting mechanisms may still be used to load static files securely and reliably.

9. Data Security

Because custom setup data is generally stored in your own browser, protecting access to your device and browser profile is important. Do not store sensitive secrets, passwords, or private tokens in app names, app URLs, or notes.

10. Children's Privacy

CommandCenter is not directed to children under 13, and kousen.cc does not knowingly collect personal information from children through CommandCenter's local-first functionality.

11. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.

Plain-English summary: CommandCenter is a static launcher. Your custom setup is saved in your own browser by default, exported setup files leave the app only when you choose to save or share them, and public hosting may still create routine technical access logs.
